Once you’ve ordered your beautiful cupola with Valley Forge Cupolas, you may have wondered: “what comes next?” or “what now?”. When your cupola arrives, proper unpacking and assembly are important! First, you’ll need to construct the components of your cupola before it can be installed.
Below, this post will explore everything you need to know about the next steps for your cupola project.
First Steps
After removing each piece from the box, identify the base and the louvers. The louver portion of your cupola will fit directly on top of the base, fitting in like a glove. The next step is to unpack and attach the final portion of your cupola, the roof component. All items arrive fully bubble wrapped and protected. If you’ve chosen to add a weather vane, you’ll add that on top of the roof last.
Installing Your Cupola on Your Roof
Many homeowners worry about how to install their cupola, only to find it’s easier than you’d think! Our informative videos and instructions help guide you through the installation process. Before beginning, be sure to check your local regulations or homeowner’s association rules to ensure you obtain any necessary permits to make changes.
You will need a variety of tools and materials to install your cupola, such as a ladder, measuring tape, level, and more. It will be helpful to have more than one person present for the cupola installation. If you do not feel confident installing a cupola yourself, many services and handymen will be able to handle the task.
Cupola Maintenance
Keeping your cupola free of dirt and debris will keep it looking and functioning great for many years to come. Every so often, we recommend using a soft broom to remove lodged debris or dirt that occurs from natural exposure to the elements. Always follow our guidance to ensure you do not damage the materials used for your cupola.
