How to Select a Garage Roof Cupola
We often have customers ask, "What size cupola do I need for a 2-car garage?" The width of your cupola depends on the length of your roof. A general rule of thumb is a minimum of 1.25” of cupola for every foot of unbroken roof ridge line, but this can vary slightly depending on the height of the garage and the overall aesthetic. While there isn't a standard size for 2-car garages, the most common sizes are 18'x20' and 24'x24'. These roof dimensions would call for either 24" or 30" wide cupolas.
